Joe has extensive senior management experience in the mobile telecoms arena, holding senior positions with technology companies such as Motorola and Sigma Wireless. Joe has a proven track record of successfully pioneering growth technology businesses over the past 30 years. His experience ranges from company start-up, transformation and internationalisation. He holds an MBA from University College Dublin.

Conor is an experienced wireless systems architect. He has a proven innovation track record with an extensive patent portfolio in the wireless chipset industry. He leads a team of world-class designers that has a wealth of experience in ‘world renowned’ wireless technology companies. Conor holds a B.Eng (Hons), Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering from Glamorgan University.
Socowave currently has two members on its Advisory Board:

Ronan is the Director for the Institute for Microelectronics and Wireless Systems at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth. Dr. Farrell spent many years working in the wireless industry, spent time in the integrated circuit design arena, specialising in intellectual property development and licensing.
In 2004, he became a Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) theme leader for high frequency electronics research within the Centre for Telecommunications Value-Chain-Driven Research (CTVR). In 2008 he became a strand leader for sensor networks in the SFI backed advanced Geotechnologies Cluster, with a focus on wide area wireless sensor networks. His personal research interests include wireless system design, digital enhanced system design, and energy conservation in mobile networks.

Philip Sharpe, a physics graduate of Dublin City University has over
twenty years experience in the IT and Telecommunications Industry
internationally. He commenced his career with Ericsson in the UK during
the late 1980's, the start of a rapid growth period in mobile
communications.
Philip founded CAPE Technologies and as CEO led it to a global
leadership position in the Revenue Assurance Solutions market. CAPE was
acquired by the Sonae Group in 2007. Currently, Philip is Chairman of
Danu Technologies and is an executive council member of the Irish Software
Association. He also holds non-executive positions in a number of
technology and software companies.
